David Monsalve MS, Ph. D, CFS

• David leads the strategic innovation pipeline at ADM R&D, focused on expanding pet products in B2C and B2B markets both in North America and globally. His work uses basic and applied science in areas such as modified starches, plant-based proteins, wellness ingredients, hydrocolloids, antioxidants, biotics, insect meals, insect oil, and cultured meat.
• David is a subject matter expert (SME) for the companion animal team and other ADM units, specializing in pet food formulation, processing, regulations, claims development and innovation for dry, wet, semi-moist, treats, freeze-dried, frozen, and ready-to-eat (RTE) pet food products.

• Successfully identified, qualified, and validated a network of external private labels across Europe, Asia, and NA for developing Rhodes Pet Care brands, including mapping in county restrictions and regulations for commercializing the products for the USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand markets.
• Successfully supported all Rhodes Pet care brands' initial state initiatives from the R&D and regulatory standpoint.
