Davi Henrique Oliveira Rego

As a campus representative, I have had the opportunity to learn the ways in which UCI functions and the wider policies that affect my fellow college students. Working in unison has also been crucial for the success of the department, as each person must fulfill their role to ensure smooth sailing, and extensive communication is required to ensure the programs offered are proceeding as intended. I have gathered a lot of experience, campus knowledge, customer skills from many interactions with our public, and have had the opportunity to influence the lives of so many individuals who choose to come to UCI due to our interference.

Amado Teachings is a daycare local to my hometown. Since June of 2024, I have been assisting the organization in expanding and simplifying some of its features for ease of access for the parents. I have completed an assortment of tasks, such as advertising, creating a template website, and managing their general media. In the process, nurturing a trustworthy relationship with the owner and the parents. I also interacted directly with the children of the daycare during the summer programs incentivizing better health practices among the older children, through programs and activities I designed and managed.

This company is a family business that was experiencing a moment of transition as it attempted to expand into a farmers market business on top of its physical location. To support them, I worked with the intake of orders, customer affairs, bookkeeping, and dealt with the new programs that had to be implemented for the more mobile business.

Two-month-long summer volunteer program situated in Richmond, California. The program's main aims were to provide some insight into the disparities of the local community and the process that led to such problems, and to assist by providing different benefits free of any charge. To that end, I worked alongside a crew of ten other volunteers in the community gardens and assisted with the distribution of resources directly to the community. It was a great way to provide some assistance to my community members, educate myself on bigger societal issues, and gather some more experience in the job market.
