As an early childhood educator I helped families by providing a safe and educational space for children to go during the day. I kept children safe and healthy by ensuring they are fed properly, comforting them when they get upset, and using good attention to detail to ensure every child was safe. Depending on the child’s needs I would also change diapers, give medication, and other things depending upon age, ability and any mental or physical needs. I educated children by making lesson plans appropriate for their age. I encouraged children to do their best while learning while being patient with them so they felt supported. I documented all details of every child’s day, making sure to communicate with families thoroughly.
