- Rejection Reduction in VSS Transfer Molding, 1/2018 - 7/2018, Overall Rejection Reduction from 12% to 1.5% by using Six Sigma tools in the Transfer Molding section.
- Rework Elimination in Tenecco, 2/2019 - 4/2019, We were facing rework issues in one of our Tenecco references in Compression Molding. I have implemented an online rework system during the trimming process. This helps us in reducing our inventory and also Saving the cost of 3 manpower per day. Total savings by this project is around 15 lacs annually.
- Elimination of part dropping in Munjal Showa, 3/2020 - 9/2020, During the molding process we were facing part dropping issues in the machine. In Ishikawa investigation it is found the mold gripping was not correct. The parting line of mold is not capable of holding the molded parts in the plate. we have improved the matching of the mold so that parts could easily be held in the middle plate. This project gives us the benefits of around 20 lacs recurring saving.
- Shanin Red X Offset Trimming Rejection Reduction, 6/2022 - 12/2022, Our Offset Trimming Rejection was very high. We had made annual data for various defects and found that Offset Trimming is contributing 45% of rejection in the overall Rejection of 3%. I had taken the Shanin Red X Apprentice project to identify the actual cause of rejection. I have implemented various tools of Shanin Red X like, Isoplot, Group Comparison, Paired Comparison, and found the actual cause of rejection was in the mold itself. Before taking this project we are doing root cause analysis on the trimming machine. The actual cause of rejection was mold. During the Molding Process some molds are getting offset because of NG metal inserts. Those depressed mold crests Impression on the finished parts and create Offset Trimming during Trimming operation. By finding the actual cause we had corrected all the cavities in the mold and found that Offset Trimming drastically reduced from 80% to 2%. We have replicated this project in our other sites also. This project had given us the recurring benefits of 1.2 Crore.
- Cost Reduction in Powder Coating., 9/2023 - 11/2023, In the Powder coating section Per Reel powder consumption was very High. Per Reel Powder consumption was 275gms. we have taken a project for recycling of waste powder from paint Booth. one vacuum cleaner is implemented to collect the waste Powder and daily filtration of powder started. By implementing this per Reel Powder consumption is reduced from 275gms to 150gms. Monthly Saving is of 3 Lacs and annual saving is of 36 Lacs.
