I have been working in the trades for 10 years. I have a young family, and my ultimate goal is to get my general contractor’s license and either start my own business, or play a crucial role for a good contractor. I am a hard worker, I do not miss days, and I do what I say I’m going to do.
Manage residential remodeling and new construction projects from start to finish. I schedule all stages of the project, do all material takeoffs, select sub contractors, schedule sub contractors, negotiate pricing with all sub contractors, manage in house carpenters and painters, and communicate pricing and schedule to customers.
I make sure jobs are completed on time, and in accordance with the architectural and engineering plans provided.
Managed the maintenance staff of 21 apartment complexes. I hired the maintenance supervisors, assisted the maintenance teams when they had issues, conducted inspections of all properties, wrote maintenance policy, managed vendor relationships, oversaw maintenance budgets, and traveled where needed.
I was responsible for all maintenance and facilities related items for a 600 unit apartment complex. We never called a plumber, electrician, hvac company, or a carpenter while I was supervisor. We renovated apartments, made all apartments ready for new move ins, and responded to all work orders. I maintained a single digit open work order count, and the property stayed occupied above 90% the whole time I was there.
Respond to all work orders for a 600 unit apartment complex. I was the main technician responsible for fixing all plumbing, electrical, hvac, and carpentry issues on the property. I also kept the grounds clean, and coordinated special projects.
Learned the ropes of working hard. Picked up trash, pressure washed, painted, then moved on to troubleshooting electrical, plumbing and hvac issues, appliance repair, and carpentry repairs.
