  • As The Master Control officer My duties are to Manage all radio traffic in the Unit such as: Work calls, Infirmary calls, Rover calls, Conducting Chow, being alert noticing if an officer sound distressed and to alert the shift supervisor and see if that officer is ok

  • As a Barracks officer: To make sure that all inmates are safe and following all Rules and Policies set by the Arkansas Department of Corrections, making unannounced, counting living a breathing bodies, being observant making sure I don't see unwanted behaviors and if I happen to see any unfamiliar activities my area/shift supervisor will be notified
  • As the Rover Officer: My duties are to respond to ALL Rover/emergency calls, make unannounced rounds in the barracks, collect count sheets from the barracks officers, conduct pill, chow, and diabetic call, keep the hallways as clear as possible and keep order in the hallways
  • Writing paper work if necessary: Minor and Major disciplinary with incident reports and evidence getting it to my supervisor in a timely manner as to when the incident happens
  • Also Coming to work on time in order to get needed information from relieving staff and being alert of any incidents and inmate behavior in the barracks area
  • Surveillance : I review incidents throughout the unit
  • In this position I do a lot of investigations
