DAVONTAY WILSON

As the Lead Photographer for the UGA Redcoat Band, I am responsible for capturing and curating dynamic visual content that reflects the spirit, tradition, and excellence of one of the most recognized collegiate marching bands in the country. My role includes:

• Leading all photography efforts at rehearsals, game days, performances, parades, and special events.
• Planning and executing creative photo shoots for media days, senior spotlights, and branding campaigns.
• Collaborating with the Redcoat Band’s media and creative team to maintain a consistent visual identity across social platforms and publications.
• Managing a high-volume workflow of images, including editing, organizing, and archiving content for use by the band and university.
• Training and coordinating assistant photographer and student media team during high-demand events.
• Contributing to the overall storytelling and marketing efforts of the Redcoat Band, with visuals that engage students, alumni, and fans.

As part of the Film & Photo Team at The Church of Eleven22, I helped bring the mission of the church to life through visual storytelling. My responsibilities included:

• Capturing high-quality photos and video content during worship services, baptisms, conferences, and outreach events.
• Supporting sermon series by filming promotional content, testimonies, and recap reels for church-wide distribution.
• Collaborating with pastors, worship leaders, and the broader creative team to produce intentional visuals that align with sermon messages and church branding.
• Editing and delivering content optimized for in-service use, social media, and web platforms.
• Operating in a fast-paced, worship-centered environment where attention to detail, spiritual maturity, and creative excellence were essential.
• Participating in team meetings, creative planning sessions, and spiritual development opportunities to grow in both craft and calling.

Photographed weekly assignments for print and online publication.

Worked with the sports editor to develop visual content for stories.

Created photo galleries for online platforms.

Oversaw and coordinated all aspects of game-day football operations, including sideline setup, locker room logistics, and travel preparation. Managed and trained the film crew and student support staff responsible for capturing practices and games. Served as a liaison between coaching staff and media teams, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of film and content for evaluation and promotional use. Maintained inventory and organization of team equipment, uniforms, and technology used for video analysis. Supported coaches in administrative tasks such as roster updates, communication scheduling, and team event coordination. Ensured smooth execution of game-day procedures, working closely with officials, event staff, and opposing teams.

Service Programming Director lead the programming and implementation process of our weekly student services and events this includes developing and leading the teams responsible for creative production for The Church of Eleven22 Jesup campus.
