Westside Impact Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year. Currently a member of the mentor team within the district. Mentors several first and second year teachers. This includes presenting professional development to first and second year teachers as well as meeting regularly to lesson plan and analyze date. Received gifted endorsement in the 2022-2023 school year. Works closely with gifted students to enrich learning and taught above and beyond the grade level curriculum. In addition to this, I have extensive knowledge of Kagan strategies and have taught others how to use them, and I am a member of the school wide leadership team helping to create schedules, analyze data and determine information teachers need to be successful in their classrooms.

Promoted reading and analyzing many pieces of literature. Committed to teaching Arizona State standards to proved the best possible outcome for all students. Created and maintained a gifted after school program. Was responsible for twenty students. The major emphasis for this club was teaching the students how to use journalism techniques and created a school newspaper. Prepared and trained to mentor teachers and complete evaluations as a secondary evaluator.
Lead teacher responsible for creating team meeting agendas, hold weekly team meetings and working with other teachers within my team to help them be successful. During this time I taught 3rd and 4th grade standards to self contained classes. I taught all subject areas and while maintaining lesson plans and grades. I was also a member of the schools CST (RTI) team helping teachers provide interventions for their students and meeting with parents to determine next steps for students. Finally I was a member of the Superintendent liaison committee. My responsibilities included meeting with the superintendent once a month and bringing information back to my campus.
I was responsible for teaching Language Arts and Social Studies to a minimum of 60 students. I also maintained data in the student to prepare them for state testing at the end of the school year by analyzing lesson plans and collaborating with other teachers. Took on some duties of the lead teacher by helping facilitate meetings.
I was responsible for lesson planning, grading papers, working with thirty+ students to move them through the curriculum to be able to produce results on state testing. I was also a member of the district wide technology committee.
