I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse. I have been a nurse for five years. My career history is in direct patient care working as a floor nurse for a surgical, medical, and cardiac unit. I have proven to remain calm under pressure and skillfully handle difficult patients in high-stress situations. I have been a charge nurse on the floor and am currently the charge nurse in the operating room. As a charge nurse I have developed excellent leadership and communication skills. I am someone my co-workers can come to during difficult times to seek help and support. I have developed strong relationships with patients and families through communication, respectful attitude and excellent customer service during their time at the hospital.

  • I worked in acute care hospital on a post surgical unit and was cross trained to the medical unit and intermediate care unit for two and a half years. I took care of patients during their recovery phase of a procedure and educated them on their discharge home. I worked shifts on the medical unit with patients who were there with complicated disease process and worked closely with case management and physicians regarding there care during the hospital stage and get patients ready to transfer to a nursing home. On the cardiac unit I took care of patients with critical drips and on tele monitors. I often recovered patients who had procedures at cardiac cath lab.
  • I worked as charge nurse on the post surgical unit for about a year and a half. I was on the CUSP team were we identifies safety issues and worked to resolve them. I would also precept nursing students who were still in nursing school as well as nursing student who just graduated and train them to the floor.
  • I currently work in the operating room at Bay area hospital. I have worked there for almost three years. I am a circulating nurse for ortho, urology,general, robotic, ENT, GYN, and urology cases. I am the GYN/OB coordinator for the operating room. I am currently the charge nurse in the operating room. I assist with scheduling up coming cases, make sure the day to dy surgeries are running smoothly, work closely with surgeons, and am a leader to my co-workers when they need assistance.
