JOB OVERVIEW:
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible executing and documenting all aspects of in-plant process and laboratory quality procedures, programs and functions in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Determined root cause of deviations and non-conforming results and implemented appropriate corrective and preventive actions throughout product development process.
• Performed thorough inspections of incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Evaluated samples against standards by completing measurements, visual inspections and other established tests.
• Identified and resolved variances to bring products in line with requirements.
• Generated detailed reports outlining results and recommendations.
• Helped uncover and fix production problems in order to reduce overall defect rates.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, new equipment installations, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs. The candidate must have knowledge of TIG welding, drill press, grinder, cutting torch, plumbing, and industrial refrigeration. Must have the ability to lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis initiatives within the mechanical and production teams. Must be proficient in reading mechanical/electrical prints, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics, proficient in pipe fitting skills of air, water, hydraulics, and must have good attendance record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewed technical documentation to complete equipment maintenance and repair.
• Completed daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment to maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Worked frequently with mechanical and plumbing systems to complete knowledgeable inspections and skilled repairs.
• Removed dirt and lubricated machinery shafts, bearings and gears as part of regular maintenance.
• Troubleshot equipment breakdowns and performed preventive maintenance.
• Quickly responded to internal service calls regarding malfunctioning equipment and completed repairs.
• Followed work orders and specifications for machine and equipment replacement, repair or maintenance.
• Used problem-solving skills to alleviate issues efficiently with minimal supervision.
