Deanna Luhmann

I taught the NYS Impaired Driver Program, contracted by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. The program is a 16-hour program that motorists are required to take when they have been convicted of a driving-impaired violation. Employed a variety of teaching styles to encourage client participation and to diffuse resistance to the information presented. I attended multiple trainings over the years to stay current with the curriculums chosen by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles and the NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services.

• Completed psycho-social evaluations for individuals who were referred for a potential alcohol or substance abuse issue. Presented findings to a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Facilitator of therapeutic groups.

• Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of an outpatient treatment clinic.
• Supervision and evaluation of all clinical and support personnel.
• Development, implementation, and evaluation of a Quality Assurance Program that complies with all OASAS and JCAHO regulations.
