LPN – Charge/Floor Nurse

ShiftKey
04.2022 - 05.2022
  • ShiftKey is a staffing agency for local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. With this company I was able to pick up PRN shifts as a Charge Nurse or Floor Nurse for various facilities. Working as a Charge Nurse or Floor Nurse duties may vary some from facility to facility, but basically I was responsible to administer any breathing treatments, or inhaled medications. I was responsible for applying any skin treatments such as barrier creams and in some cases I even was responsible for some wound care.

LPN- Clinic Nurse

New Heritage Recruiters – Brea, CA
12.2021 - 04.2022
  • This was a 13 week+ assignment with Cherokee Nation Vinita Health Center located in Vinita, Oklahoma. During this assignment I worked in the capacity of a Clinic Nurse and a Public Health Nurse. As a Clinic Nurse my primary duties were to perform Covid testing in a drive through setting and I also administered Covid vaccines and MAB infusions. I worked with various physicians in their daily clinic settings by rooming patients and assisting in any way the physician may need. As a Public Health Nurse I did home visits and had wound care and medication planners to fill. I also aided to facilitate a Covid testing Clinic for an event to honor the Chief.

LPN- Case Manager

Med Corp Plus
02.2020 - 12.2021
  • As Case Manager I was responsible for doing home visits for adults receiving Medicaid benefits in the State of Oklahoma. During these home visits I would coordinate with an RN from a differing Home Health Agency and develop a plan of care for each individual. The services we aided to set up may include home delivered meals, assistance with medications, DME equipment, incontinent supplies, and an aid to assist with light housekeeping and errands. All of this was facilitated in the hopes of people being able to remain in the own home rather than being confined to a facility such as a Nursing Home.

LPN- Clinic Nurse

Ardent Health / Utica Park Clinic
09.2015 - 10.2019
  • I began working in the Pulmonary Clinic in 2015 located in Tulsa, OK. I was a Clinic Nurse for Dr. Andrew Gottherrer and would travel between 2 locations; both in Tulsa. As his clinic nurse I would room patients, perform phone triage and order procedures. I then transferred to the Claremore location and went to work in the Gastroenterology Clinic with Dr. Stephen Medina. As his nurse I was responsible to schedule patients for procedures and educate patients on procedure prep. I would room patients in the exam room for their office visits, call prescriptions to pharmacy and if needed would call insurance company to request prior authorization. In approximately May 2019 Dr. Medina and Ardent Health went different directions and the Gastroenterology Clinic in Claremore was covered by another Ardent Health physician from the Tulsa office. He brought his own staff and the staff with Dr. Medina's office was absorbed in to other offices. At that time I was placed as a Float Nurse which meant I would work at whatever clinic might need me and my schedule could and would change frequently. This was not ideal, but I had invested time into Ardent Health and took this opportunity with the hopes of finding a permanent work home again within Ardent Health. Finding the permanent work home did not happen in the time frame I had hoped and the juggling of clinics became mundane. As the ‘float' person I mostly felt to be a glorified roomer and felt my skills and knowledge were not being utilized.
