Hobbies and Interests

Over the past few years I have been heavily involved in my community’s schools. A few years ago we were able to help our school board see the importance of keeping a local elementary school open. We accomplished this through organizing the community and addressing the local school board. I have participated in several committees for our school system and have seriously considered a run for school board member. I have a real passion for languages as they open a whole new arena of communication. I would love to expand my knowledge of French, and with our ever-increasing Hispanic population Spanish is my next linguistic goal. I enjoy playing the flute and piano, attending church, and spending time with my wife of 21 years and two children. I would love to further my education and have begun investigating the cost and requirements of an RN to MSN program.
