  • As the Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator for the Karuk Tribe, I wrote a grant named "Coverage for Kids". I used "out of the box" ideas for enrolling families with children into either MediCal or Covered California. These included Soccer Clinics with the stipulation they show proof of insurance. If no insurance, I was able to offer them immediate enrollment.
  • Under the same position, I offered a Kids Club during the summer months with water games, rock painting, and fry bread making class.
  • As a Seven Feathers Mentor, I taught my young friend how to tie a quilt, cook various meals, do her homework, go bowling, etc.
  • As an RSP Aide (one on one) I would take him to cultural events, teaching him table manners, to be respectful and sit still, make a meat loaf dinner, allow him to drum and use rubber mats to do somersaults. I even brought in a karoake machine for him to sing, learn to speak properly, etc
  • Asked to babysit for a Native function, I developed my own games. (Roll the Dice and perform the exercise assigned to the number), Memory games (name items removed from the tray), etc...
  • I was a professional Birthday Clown and read books to learn to sew my costume, do magic tricks and animal balloons. I trained the Hardee's Utah stores how to have a successful Birthday Club in their units.
  • As an assistant manager, I turned our unit into a million dollar training unit after which i was promoted to a manager. Secret? I posted the record sales by day and hour. Anytime we beat a record by even one penny, everyone got a $3 cash bonus.
  • As a dispatcher for northAmerican Van Lines for the state of Utah, I coordinated the Sales, Customer Service, Warehouses, Drivers, Packers, Helpers, while completing paperwork mandated by Federal regulations.
  • I was recruited by Microphor/ div of Wabtec to become the first Program Manager for a multimillion dollar account (Bombardier). I coordinated Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Inspection, and shipping. The First Article of Inspection Book was produced by me, and I played host to the canadian clients. I also traveled to Montreal and New Jersey to witness our waste (toilet) system on the New Jersey Transit.
  • As a Sears Home Town Shopper in a new area, we out performed all expectations and won a cruise for our efforts. People would travel for hours to my store because they felt they could trust my voice from the radio ad.
