
Debbie McFalone has served hundreds of school leaders as a district leadership team consultant, author, keynote speaker, MEMSPA and ASCD learning facilitator, and leadership coach for educators in Michigan. Her work is often focused on courage and integrity in leaders, how to nurture and sustain strong trustworthy teams, and planning and holding difficult conversations. She has presented at national ASCD and NAESP conferences and has supported school boards in working productively.

Debbie is a frequent guest on leadership podcasts ( Char-Em ISD and "Standing Tall" in 2025 and guest columnist for the MEMSPA newsletter.
Debbie has served and supported hundreds of leaders across Michigan, building on her experience as a teacher, principal, and Area Superintendent to inspire them with knowledge of exemplary leadership and equip them with practical strategies and ideas for their work. As she empowers and supports different teams, Debbie brings a high level of commitment to social justice issues. Her deep knowledge of resilience and educator wellbeing has been key to her authentic support and realistic approach with her clients. Debbie’s skills and knowledge about offering impactful feedback as well as planning and holding difficult conversations have been sought after and have impacted school leaders in a profound way.
Debbie is the co-author of the MEMSPA Leadership Matters program, which has graduated 360 alumni, and has facilitated each cohort since it began in 2010. Debbie currently serves the Michigan Leadership Institute leading training for aspiring superintendents and district leaders. She has worked with school boards across Michigan to assist them in functioning as highly effective, productive teams.
