Adminiatrative Assistant

U.S. Army - Detroit Federal Executive Board
08.2011 - 07.2023

Assisted with the planning and execution of the Detroit Federal Executive Board (FEB) programs.

  • Managed the registrations for all training/programs offered by the FEB. Notified participants of registration and sent appropriate documents, connection information (if virtual) or logistical information, and calendar invitation. Tracked the number of attendees/agencies for each event for monthly and fiscal year reporting. Distribute evaluation forms and summarized for instructors or presenters.
  • Employee Recognition Events - Track all honorees (260 average) and create a file by agency for use in the program. List all attendees (400 average) by agency for registration, process payments, and send receipts. Coordinate with FEHB providers to attend and distribute their giveaways to attendees. Track all expenses/revenue and prepare a reconciliation statement. Create and print certificates for all honorees. Create seating chart, set up the plaques in order of distribution, check-in attendees and direct to assigned seating.
  • Update various distribution lists as needed and update the FEB membership/MI Congressional Director annually. A paper and/or electronic copy is made available to FEB members.
  • Document all activities and prepare a monthly report for submission to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
  • Provide administrative support to accomplish interagency collaboration - Attend monthly FEB meetings and prepare meeting minutes that are sent to all members. Assist in preparing the agenda and Chair's talking points. Communicate with community partners to schedule events that provide relevant information to federal agencies, or opportunities to do a public service: Collaborate with DEA to provide a secure container in the federal building twice a year during the week of National Prescription Drug Takeback Day for employees to safely dispose of their unused prescriptions.
  • Managed the annual Feds Feed Families Food Drive each summer. Worked with the local food bank and participating federal agencies to collect food, coordinated food pick-ups around the downtown Detroit area, and recorded all donations by agency. Promoting a little agency competition often resulted in a considerable increase of food collected.
