Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee information, timekeeping data, paid time off, pay raises, deductions, and earnings.
  • Process new hire paperwork as required by the state and the various benefit companies the employee is enrolled in, complete I-9 paperwork filing accordingly.
  • Benefits administration including assisting employees with change reporting; verifying eligibility according to contracts or adoption agreements; communicating benefit information to employees; and assisting employees and families with difficult claims issues.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy. Resolve discrepancies between carriers, payroll, and the company. Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Assist with managing annual open enrollment period during 4th quarter of each year. Assist with communicating changes to employees. Process changes within deadlines.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  • Manage employee acknowledgements, including but not limited to the distribution of plan summary materials and other required notices.
  • Maintain employee HR files in compliance with legal requirements and department guidelines.
