As an ESL Teacher, I ensure that curriculum, instruction and assessments are rigorous meaningful and aligned with standards. I use assessment practices that position students as leaders of their own learning. I also, track students progress towards learning goals, by using meaningful data for both teachers and students. I make sure to engage all students in daily lessons that require critical thinking, where each student is able to share their ideas, while constructing new knowledge. As an educator, I encourage and model a school wide culture of respect, responsibility, and compassion. And through my lessons I connect students with the world beyond school through meaningful lessons, research, and community service.

As an Elementary English Teacher, I developed innovative lesson plans to engage students in English language learning. I assessed student progress and provided feedback to improve performance and establish academic success.

I also, improved classroom management by implementing consistent routines and clear expectations for behavior. I made sure to have a safe and dynamic environment, where my students felt comfortable to share their ideas, and construct their own learning process.
