  • Adopted (through multiple grants) World War II based non-fiction books to serve students of all reading levels. Designed curriculum for a school-wide study and project-based learning experience, including cross-class collaboration and multi-media research presentations.Coached students to use the NaNoWriMo for Young People online program to write a novel in a month. 90% of students met writing goals. One graduate accepted into the prestigious University of Iowa Young Writers Summer Program.
  • Coached student writers to prepare projects to submit to student academic journals. Students have earned a high acceptance rate and multiple Editor’s Choice Awards.
