• As a pre-op nurse it was my responsibility administer proper care to patients prior to surgery by assessing and evaluating patient for surgery, identify emergency measures, communicate with surgeon and anesthesia, and administer pre-op medications as ordered, and started IV, and verify all documents and orders are completed prior to patient surgery.
• As a Recovery Room Nurse is was my responsibility to provide care to patients after surgery by monitoring their vitals, bandage/dressing is clean, and pain management when they wake up from anesthesia.

• Most important before the start of any surgery it’s the circulating nurse responsibility to verify the patient’s identity, consent forms completed, and then review the site and nature of the procedure with the surgeon and OR team.
