Driven by a strong work ethic learned at my aunt's bagel business, I work well around other people, as demonstrated during my time as a Baseball Umpire for Ballard Little League. My ability in decision-making and time management, along with a proven ability to enforce policies respectfully, makes me an ideal candidate for roles requiring both hard and soft skills.
Last year, I worked as an umpire for Little League baseball games. This job taught me how to stay composed and professional in high-pressure situations with coaches, players, and fans. However, the skill I learned which will help the most with this Biking job, was the ability to work well around kids, even if that meant standing my ground against upset parents and staying mature
When I worked with my aunt while she owned a local bagel business in Seattle, I would help her make bagels in the kitchen. I would also help with the sales, working as a cashier at her pop-ups outside Rubens Brewery. I would show eagerness to learn by asking questions and seeking clarification when necessary. This helped me learn about the concept of sales. Working here also taught me a much better work ethic, as I was fully in charge of handling the cash and getting the orders correct. I also Worked under guidance of her, being a professional, to learn the best practices and techniques.
