Summary

Whether it was as the oldest sister "playing school" with 4 siblings, teaching a daughter how to ride a bike, training servers in a restaurant, directing actors in a musical, or standing in front of 30 children in a music room.... the rewards and challenges in this work have been enlightening. All children should aspire to be lifelong learners, and teachers need to model this behavior. As a retiree from classroom teaching, this musician will never be without music. Directing the adult and the children's choir at church, along with private voice teaching will continue to be a part of the weekly schedule.

Having had two student teachers from North Park University at Hawthorne Scholastic Academy, it is evident that yours is an exemplary program. It is flattering, and an honor, to have been asked to submit these materials.
