Coming from a sports filled family where my parents are both West African and both played soccer abroad in France and Africa. While my sister played soccer in high school a university. So I come from a very athletic background and structure. So discipline, coordination, determination, integrity, and overall persistence has been installed into me. I’ve played for almost 20 years since I was 4 years old, now I am 24 years old. Speaking fluent in English, French, Cameroon dialect, compatible in Spanish.
Being part of a youth set up coaching program/group has been very beneficial to both me and the youth, because it gives me a crucial opportunity to see them progress as the best player they can be but also a greater person externally. Giving them insight, encouragement, tactical expertise, and constant attention will make me a proud person knowing I am giving back to the community that gave back to me as a was young man and letting that cycle continue through them.
My experiences in volunteering in caregiving, a youth coaching whether it be for not the monetary value, but helping those in their lowest moments and being there for them no matter the predicament. Coaching and caregiving go hand and hand or coincide effectively since both gave me critical skills as being selfless, giving wisdom, encouragement, family values, genuine support, and unconditional respect for those younger or elderly. But is in need of help either that be in the soccer field or aiding them with everyday living. If given the opportunity to be part of the coaching set up of this youth soccer program would be so important for me, since it brings great value, enthusiasm, and enjoyment seeing kids being outside having fun playing the most demanding sport in my opinion. But given this position I don’t want it to be a demanding sport, I’m going to make it a sport where they can express themselves with their own skills, flair, and abilities.
I’ve played at Fairfax High School Men’s Soccer varsity for 4 years of Varsity. 1 season at Santa Monica College. Semi professionally Abroad in France for a year. And professionally in Douala,Cameroon for a year and a half. I’ve played various positions such as both fullbacks, defensive midfielder, box to box midfielder, attacking midfielder, striker, both wings, a sometimes as a make shift center back. Very two footed player, great dribbler, great passing range, full of speed/energy, and defensive actions/awareness. Watched world cups from 2006- and onwards, watch leagues around Europe, Asia, America, and across the globe. If it’s on I’m watching it and gathering insight about the game, the players actions, and game gameplay structures. So my insight is very valuable and distinct.
