  • Coordinate with Master Data Branch via the Master Data Change Request (MDCR)process to have WIP Tracking data loaded into the Bill of Material (BOM) and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP)
  • Check various end items for missing parts and prepare shortage lists for Maintenance Parts Technician
  • After disassembly, and classification by mechanic, and routes reusable items to appropriate processing operations such as sandblast, walnut hull, chemical cleaning, metal finish, machine shop, etc., indicating on route tag the type processing and the date to be completed at each operation
  • I visually inspect each pallet or basket of material for condition (e.g., reclaimable, suspected salvage) prior to routing or removing from immediate area
  • Identify completeness of items and missing components for disposition
  • Make follow-up on lost, misrouted, and urgent demand items as necessary
  • Determine reasons for delays in processing routed material and coordinates corrective actions with shop foreman and Maintenance Parts Technician
  • Reroute parts to relieve overloaded processing
  • I maintain constant contact with priority material and walks through each processing station as required
  • Work with shop foreman, planners, and maintenance parts technician to insure items are moved promptly and delivered to shops in proper sequence to prevent shortage to repair and assembly lines
  • Maintain master control record daily indicating basket and pallet number, material routed, date, quantity, quantity salvaged, each processing station required to process, date required by shop project order, etc
  • Work in shop, parts room, assembly or bay-line area to provide supply of parts and materials to mechanics, technicians and repairers
  • I receive parts analysis reports (PAR's) reflecting by program control number (PCN's), nomenclature, stock number (NIIN) , quantity of each part required for completion of program, Depot Overhaul Factor (DOF), Shop Project Order, and Completion Schedules for number of items required for each PCN
  • Inventory bin and storage locations to determine how many items are already in stock or available in the system for that PCN
  • Notify maintenance parts technician of back order status of long time delivery of items in conjunction with completion of PCN's
  • Purges suspense files monthly of non-determine back orders
  • Prepare bin tags, indicating stock number, nomenclature, end item and PCN, quantity required to meet demand, etc
  • Check quantity received against packing list and annotates any shortage on packing list for follow-up
  • I break kit parts down by part and stock number and places in bins or racks for use by mechanics
  • Orders items stored using computer system called LMP (SAP)
  • Receive reclaimed serviceable items routed from disassembly lines, checks for obvious identification and stores in location for use by mechanics
  • Maintain stock in serviceable condition and orderly arrangement
