From an EHS perspective, performing duties supporting the planning and coordination of facilities construction, maintenance, and property management related projects and services.

• Develop, implement, and maintain fire, life, and safety policies and procedures, benchmarks, metrics, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with County contract policies for the acquisition of consultant and construction services; coordinate project permits including agency negotiations, final approvals, and resolving disputes.
• Responsible for strategic and technically advanced facilities and property management related projects and services as a subject matter expert in one or more functional areas.
• Serve as the main point of contact for operational, emergency, and programmatic issues; research client and building problems and concerns in order to recommend solutions and timelines.
• Programs Manager: Building Safety Inspection, HazCom (Chem Review/SDS), Accident Investigation, Safety Committee Oversight, JHA/PPE/Work over water, Lockout Tagout, Emergency Action Plan, Indoor Air Quality Program, Fire Extinguisher, Asbestos Control Program.

Working in Hazardous Communication and Fire Safety Programs. Performing Safety Inspection of the Multnomah County buildings/assets to ensure compliance and adherence to OSHA and EPA requirements, implementing these into standard industry practices.

• Working with contractors to align OSHA and EPA related compliance programs to requirements applicable such as inspection and availability of fire extinguishers, collection of material samples for identification and classification of potential hazards, and collection of hazardous waste for proper disposal.
• Support mentoring interns participating in the Multnomah County C2C Program.
• Acting as liaison/consultant with facilities group, client representatives, and program owners.
• Representing Multnomah County with external agencies such as the local Fire Marshal - Portland.
• Working with the organization's management systems: IBM Tririga, Multnomah County SDS Database through the HSI Health & Safety Institute, FPM Safety and Compliance Building Inspections through the iAuditor by Safety Culture system.

Experience working applying OSHA and EPA regulations and implementing these into standard industry practices. Working on the FPM Safety and Compliance Building Inspections and Hazardous Communication Plan. Conducting periodic inspections of Multnomah County facilities to verify compliance with OSHA and EPA standards. Acting as liaison/consultant with facilities group, client representatives, and program owners.

Acting in the Hazardous Communication Program. Performing chemical assessment at Multnomah County buildings, updating SDS (safety data sheet) database system. Conducting safety inspections in the County buildings/assets to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

Acquired experience and duties performed in Petrobras Projects:
Working in the elaboration of corporate procedures with a focus on EHS requirements, aligning applicable legislation of the construction project based on OSHA International Organization of Standards (ISO) and national environmental policies (IBAMA - Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) and occupational health.
Experience acting as EHS representative of Petrobras preparing documentation for project licensing with external agencies and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction, being responsible for elaborating the documentation for obtaining permits for the project, and preparing monthly reports to prove compliance with the permit conditions (INEA - National Institute for the Environment of Rio de Janeiro, CPRH - State Environmental Council of the State of Pernambuco).
Experience acting as EHS representative of Petrobras company in inspections and audits OSHA and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
Experience acting as an internal auditor implementing relevant policies to receive external OSHA certification audits as well as OSHA maintenance and recertification audits.
Experience working as a manager of the EHS team, focusing on monitoring and management of atmospheric emissions, solid and liquid waste management, water treatment plant operation, environmental emergency control - chemical leakage/spill, project emergency response, control of natural resources - project sustainable, implementation 3R's Program - reduction, reuse and recycling, monitoring environmental and occupational noise, monitoring atmospheric pollutants emission and air quality, wildlife rescue program, environmental compensation program, implementation of Brazilian NR's - Occupational Health and Safety Regulatory Standards under the Brazilian National Standard Organization ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards - normative body which is responsible for technical standards).
Experience in implementing Internal Commission for Accident Prevention in the workplace. Workforce monitoring: PPE, risk prevention, , machine guarding, hand/power tool safety, hazardous communication program.
Experience acting as a liaison/consultant with organization departments, client representatives, external bodies, EHS training of new hires, periodic training of company procedures as updates and modifications in the executive procedure or legislation updates occurs.
Experience in contracting service and consultants providers.
