Assisted with specimen collections as well as blood draws for laboratory tests. Assisted with Paracentesis as well as thoracenteses. Accurately documented vitals in Genesis system. Answered patients questions and relayed phone messages to the provider. Educated patients on management of care such as diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol. Rotated to different sections within our department to include Nephrology, Endocrinology, and Infectious disease.

• Take vital signs for pediatric patients age newborn to 17 years old.(blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference and length)
• Performed basic physical assessments of newborns and newborn screening for state lab.
• Screen and review immunization records to select required immunizations, correct dosages, and administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups.
• Perform teaching to patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and documented teaching.
• Documented patient information accurately and communicated appropriate information to all healthcare team involved.
• Screened adolescent patients as well as new post partum moms for depression/anxiety and related all information to PCM to take necessary actions.
