Cabler
- I would measure, cut, and strip cables; solder wires and connectors. Respool cables and prepare splices for molding. Mix and apply potting metals; inspect work for quality
- Preparing wires: Cutting, stripping, and tinning wires according to instructions
- Assembling: Routing wires, soldering, and crimping components, and installing hardware
- Testing: Inspecting parts, measuring voltage, and testing the final product
- Communicating: Reading instructions, interpreting diagrams, and communicating with supervisors
- Maintaining: Keeping the work area clean and secure, and adhering to safety standards
- Preparing for shipment: Respooling cables and preparing splices for molding
As a cable assemblers typically I needed to be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and be proficient with tools like soldering irons, heat knives, and measuring tapes. I also have good communication skills and i'm able to work independently.
