As a Kennel Technician, I walk dogs to the yards at schedule times, maintain clean living conditions, talk to pet owners about what they feel is best for their dog, and do some grooming on the dogs. I also had the opportunity to handle so harder to handle dogs including working K-9s. I also was the main worker in the 'Food Room' where I would make sure everyone had accurate food and make their food with what the pet owners provided for us.

As an Animal Care Technician, I would monitor the wellbeing of our animals, administer vaccinations and medication, perform numerous cleaning tasks and aid the public with adoption. I also had the opportunity to work with animals that needed someone to trust as their behavior was fearful,stressed, and possibly aggressive due to the shelter environment and/or prior trauma. I also was tasked with training new staff members many times and performing supportive care on animals that needed it.

Operated registers, processed transactions, and assisted customers with inquiries to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
