• Used Medication Administration Record and medication resources to safely administer medications to residents in Assisted Living as well as Memory Care.
• Prioritized safety by carefully monitoring residents who are placed on alert charting and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge and training of medication protocols, resulting in timely and safe administration accompanied by timely and accurate documentation.
• Worked closely with members of interdisciplinary team to produce the best care possible to the residents and facilitate a positive work environment.
• Reordered medication to maintain adequate supply.
• Counted and recorded medication inventory and administration routinely to maintain medication security of controlled substances.
• Turned and repositioned patients to prevent bedsores.
• Provided holistic care, used critical thinking and education/training to respond to resident needs.

I volunteered at BYEP for a winter season. I mentored 8th graders facing challenges. I used therapeutic communication and active listening to assist these young teens with navigating the difficulties they face at home, in school and in their day-to-day life.
