Professional Background
Mechanical Engineer with experience across renewable energy, thermal power generation, electric vehicle infrastructure, and utility-scale energy systems. Completed a Bachelor's Degree and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, Jamaica, with strong academic interests in materials science and energy conversion systems.
I have high-level experience in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects, including 171 MW of battery energy storage and 133 MW of solar power, with responsibilities spanning solar plant design, feasibility studies, land evaluation, energy yield analysis, and technical bid assessment. Skilled in the use of industry software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, PVCAD, PVDesign, and PVcase.
Also experienced in thermal power plant systems, having supported a 171 MW combined cycle project, contributed to heat exchanger design for diesel power plants, assisted with maintenance activities, and gained exposure to national grid system control operations covering transmission and distribution networks.
Additional experience includes EV charging infrastructure deployment, troubleshooting, and market support within Jamaica’s growing EV ecosystem, as well as drone operations for aerial site inspection and data collection. Strong foundation in hands-on engineering through academic and capstone projects involving mechanical system design and prototyping.

Engineering Intern with hands on experience in power generation, renewable energy systems, EV infrastructure, and electrical grid operations within Jamaica. Supported the development of a 171 MW combined cycle thermal energy power plant while gaining exposure to thermal power systems, mechanical design, utility operations, and national grid control activities. Participated in engineering design projects, maintenance operations, EV charging initiatives, and system control functions involving transmission and distribution operations across the country’s electrical grid.
My biggest personal accomplishment is being married to a wonderful wife and being a proud father to an amazing son, which I consider the foundation of my life and motivation.
Beyond my personal life, I achieved a 2nd Degree Black Belt in ITF Taekwon-Do, demonstrating long-term discipline, dedication, and resilience. During my martial arts journey, I also competed and won championships in both Jamaica and the United States, highlighting my ability to perform and succeed at a competitive international level.
Another significant achievement in my early development was completing training as an aviation pilot, where I gained the ability to fly an aircraft and developed strong discipline, focus, and technical understanding of aviation principles.
I began my Taekwon-Do journey in high school as a white belt, where I quickly developed a strong commitment to the discipline and progressed to become a member of my high school Taekwon-Do team. During this period, I competed nationally and contributed to winning multiple interschool championships across Jamaica.
At the age of 16, I entered my first international competition, the ISKA US Open Martial Arts Championship, where I earned my first international title. Through continuous training, discipline, and rigorous grading examinations, I advanced steadily through the ranks and was ultimately promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt.
Following this achievement, I was invited to join the National Mixed Martial Arts Team of Jamaica, representing my country at the international level. As part of the national team, I contributed to winning two international titles, further strengthening my experience in high-level competitive martial arts.
