• Provided individual, family and group therapy to clients to achieve the goals outlined and explained in the client service plan.

• Assisted all staff to appropriately respond and resolve crisis issues as they arise.

• Provided consultation to foster, biological and community parents of clients and case managers to ensure adequate understanding of the therapeutic needs of the child.

• Collaborated as needed with OFI case managers, DCFS, school personnel, court personnel, psychologist, psychiatrists and medical physicians.

• A requirement for my CACREP accredited program, counselors in training are expected to complete 100 clinically supervised hours of direct work with clients during the initial practicum phase of field work and 600 hours of direct work with clients during the internship phase. In addition to working directly with clients themselves this practicum & internship experience entailed significant case management/ consultation and collaborative approaches to offering treatment to youth- in- care and their caregivers.
