• Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) - Abstract Submission Reviewer:

In charge of reviewing abstract submissions and making evaluations on whether said submission should be accepted for an oral/poster presentation, rejected, or be recommended for a revision.

• Dietitian Student Shadower - 35 hours

Daily Operations Observations:

Shadowed inpatient clinical dietitian in the rehabilitation department, learning about patient care, charting via BMH, and observing the integration of nutrition plans. Gained knowledge of specialized nutrition drinks (e.g., Ensure, Kate Farms) to support healthy dietary needs including proteins, fats, minerals, and vitamins. Participated in ICU rounds, following patients with coronary artery disease, nephropathy, and epilepsy.

• Zooniverse - 10.5 hours

Made classifications for improvement on monitoring children with childhood uveitis. In charge of spotting inflammatory cells based on OCT imaging. By doing this, this would improve the OCT cameras to tell what type of cells are inside the eye, and would help predict which treatments work best.

Helped annotate the germinal centres of breast cancer patients on whole slide image scanners. Hoped to improve the identification patterns in lymph nodes to improve AI performance.
