As a medical assistant at TNC, my responsibility's were to be my doctors personal front desk receptionist. My duty also involved checking patients in and out, as before checking in we collect copays and any balances that are due. As well as getting vitals, rooming patients, answering phone calls, making phone calls, sending off any physician orders from patients such as radiology, lab's, referral's, medication refills, answering messages for the doctor, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, submitting referrals and pre authorizations for mediations, giving injections such as aimovig, emgality, vitamin b12 injections. preparing botox injections for physicians. getting records from different facility's, including hospital records. mainly just assisting my doctor and his nurse practitioner with anything they will need.
