• Managed an "at risk" patient population by performing in home visits while providing evidence based care to help keep patients out of the hospital.
• Performed complete assessments in the home and would generate diagnoses with potential differential diagnoses, order appropriate labs and/or diagnostics, and create a plan of care for each patient.

• Explained course of care and medication side effects to patients and caregivers in easy-to-understand terms.
• Taught patient lifestyle modifications they could implement to help prevent and reverse certain diseases.

Worked alongside Primary Care MD as his scribe until I received my NP license after graduation. I learned how to take comprehensive histories and perform physicals, create differential diagnoses, and learn how to develop a plan of care. I learned how to document according to Medicare guidelines and became very competent in using the EMR.
