• Conduct child abuse investigations, including collecting relevant information and evidence from clients, reporting parties, and collateral contacts. Interview victims, alleged perpetrators, etc. Assess child safety and risk as well as family strengths and needs. Consultation with colleagues, supervisors, and management, legal counsel and Risk Assessment Meeting Presentations. Research and documentation of investigation in California Child Welfare System Database, and preparation of written reports for Detention, Jurisdictional Disposition, and Case Review hearings. Provide families with various resources and services.
• INVESTIGATIONS

• Provided case management services as detailed above for a caseload of several minors over the course of a year under the Master’s in Social Work internship.

• Provide in-home tutoring for Math and English for youth in elementary and high school.

• Provide individual and group counseling in an alternative education high-school program for pregnant/parenting teens and probation youth.

• Provide case management services for Older Adult clients of DMH psychiatric clinic. Make monthly contacts in the field to monitor patient's well being and progress with treatment goals. Provide linkage to resources, provide goal-oriented support, and present client cases.
