NAVSEA NPBI Certified (September 2020)

Performed variety of checkpoints (I, IG, V) (Critical and non-critical) upon Navy, MSC and Commerical vessels. Expert knowledge of corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instrument, coating mixtures, and safety. Knowledge of QA Appendics and filing of checkpoint information to Navy Customer. ASTM F718 Identification and SSPC Standard evaluation per coating requirement. Knowledge of testing/inspection equipment (i.e. DFT gauge, etc. ) Communication with SBS pertaining to inspection documentation and inspection briefing. Responsible for calibration of inspection equipment. Responsible for participation of annual audits and deficiency reports responses. Maintains established T&I Plans per avail. Closes out all QA documentation (QA Work Packages) for customer review.

Perform required preservation upon Navy Vessels, MSC ships and commerical boats. Work included but not limited to physically demanding environments, confined spaces and working at heights. Respirator fit tested per OSHA standards. Use of powertools to accomplish cleaning. Ability to apply coatings to desired MIL thickness. Training of NAVSEA 009-32 standard item.
