Dennis Barnes

• Coordinates with faculty and staff to create an enjoyable and appropriate curriculum of enrichments for students
• Coordinates the logistics of the program that includes food and snacks, safety, and employment of staff
• Consistent contact with parents and students to ensure attendance, relay important information, and to discuss any issues during afterschool

• Creates lesson plans to instruct students in general and/or specialized topics in mathematics.

• Supervised the day care for volunteer's children ranging from 10 months to 10 years old

· Created lesson plans, interactive group work, and assessments, based on the program’s curriculum, for three classes of year eights in algebra and geometry

· Coached and taught the basics of volleyball to form a team and co-taught the introduction to rugby as an elective class for the students

• Coached the freshman, junior varsity & varsity throws team.
• Created various workouts and drills focusing on technique, muscular development, and strength specific for each athlete.
• Concentrated on creating a safe and supporting environment for all athletes to feel comfortable and to grow in.

• Entered information into a database for annual fund donations and event registrations, as well as being a representative for Xavier High School at numerous events
• Was the lead for the input, packaging, and set-up for all gala auction donations and journal information
• Worked closely with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving on increasing young alumni participation and donation increase within that population

• Taught lessons in Physical Education, Health Education, and Sociology for years seven to twelve
• Designed assessments and graded students based on criteria from the Australian National Standards
• Co-coached interschool and state level sports in Rugby League, Australian Oz-Tag, and Volleyball

• Taught numerous lessons on progressions of team sports for years kindergarten to five in Volleyball, Hockey, and Basketball
• Created assessments and graded students on criteria based off New York State and National Standards
• Supervised and assisted in the afterschool program during homework, playground, and snack time
