Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

Each day I clean the visitors center and employee restrooms, campgrounds and viewpoint restrooms by sweeping the floors cleaning the mirrors, and scrubbing the toilets and sinks. I finish by mopping the floors and emptying the trash.(24 restrooms).Campgrounds and viewpoints are kept clear of trash and refuse. Restock all cleaning and paper supplies for the visitors center,campgrounds,and viewpoint restrooms. Follow all safety precautions in the use of chemicals and use all safety devices provided. Inventory supplies and alert my supervisor when items needed to be reordered. Assisting in Supervision of seasonal employees. Winterizing of campground restrooms at end of summer. Snow and Ice removal from visitors center,open campground restrooms,and viewpoints. Hike the horse trail restroom (Peek-A-Boo) to clean and bring down supplies, help maintenance with task's when they are shorthanded like toilets, toilet seats, changing light bulbs, anything that can be repaired quickly without pulling maintenance away from their current assignments, I also ride with and assist maintenance whenever things in my department are caught up or whenever they need an extra pair of hands, I also look for and identify any broken or damaged items that are used repeatedly and excessively and report them to my supervisor for maintenance to fix, When needed i and one other person pump 10 different vault toilets which requires the use of socket drill to remove lids and then connecting 3"hoses to pump truck and then controlling hoses while pumping to be as safe and quick as possible while leaving as little notice of being there by cleaning up after process is complete. process requires the use of gas-powered circulation, eye protection, socket drill, different size hoses from 3/4" water hose to 3"-15' hoses.
