• Teaching the love and grace of Christ through relationships within the church and community. Understanding as John Maxwell stated, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care". As someone in student ministry my primary responsibility is to teach students the word of God and the heart of the father through study, prayer and worship.
• Romans 5:5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts through the holy spirit, whom he has given us.
• Students need community "And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards Love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching".
• Hebrews 10:24 ,25 In an age of bullying, gossip, slander and hatefulness (which can destroy a teens self identity). Young people need other young people who can lift them up, encourage them in all the right ways.
• Proverbs 27:17 Tells us that as iron sharpens iron so a friend sharpens a friend.
• Youth group is also a place where teenagers can discover their spiritual gifts and begin to use them to serve others.

Teenagers need a mission Youth group is a place where teenagers can invite their unbelieving friends to hear the gospel. But its also a place where they can be equipped to share the good news of Jesus with their peers as we build a gospel centered ministry.
