Dennis Taylor

On May 22nd, 2019, I commenced my journey as a Police Officer Recruit with the UCSF Police Department. Subsequently, I was enrolled at the South Bay Regional Training Academy by the UCSF Police Department. I obtained my California POST Basic Certificate after completing the six-month Police Academy.

On November 11th, 2019 I was sworn into the UCSF Police Department and am now an active member of the UCSF Police Force. I am committed to upholding the law and protecting the public. I am also dedicated to serving my community with integrity and professionalism.

In May of 2022, I was honored to have been chosen to attend the Crisis Prevention Institution. I was thoroughly trained in crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques. I completed the course and earned my certification as a Crisis Prevention Institution Instructor.

In 2023, I applied for the position of Field Training Officer, In August 2023, I was officially promoted to the Field Training Officer position and have been assisting in the training of new officers ever since.
