  • Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve routine and complex field operations issues.
  • Assist with resolution of field operations/project specific problems and challenges; act as a senior-level field operations resource for others.
  • Mentor and support field operations staff; encourage their professional development and growth.
  • In coordination with the Vice President of Field Operations, ensure field operations staff receive proper training.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of each project’s current status and upcoming significant operations.
  • Provide leadership related to field operations policies and procedures. Take an active role in supporting the business units to understand, adopt and comply with field related policies/procedures and systems. Goal is consistency across projects and business units within the region.
  • Conduct project site inspections, which include but are not limited to, reviewing daily reports, safety documentation and reports, subcontractor coordination meetings and meeting minutes, project signage, postings, proper project records and document management, as-built documentation, environmental compliance, QA/QC plan, organization of the subcontracts/submittals by the Superintendent, and closeout, and provide recommendations and corrective measures in order for the field staff to attain compliance.
  • Ensure work conforms to contract documents and that projects are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the jurisdictions having authority.
  • Overview of the project specific quality needs related to specifications, plans, codes, company standards, and other applicable items.
  • Review and assist when requested with pre-installation meetings and the implementation of ACQM checklists.
  • Proactively provide oversight, timely cures, and follow up for any quality deficiencies.
  • Provide feedback and reports, as appropriate, to the applicable VP/GM regarding staff or project related concerns or issues. For escalated concerns, copy the SVP/RM.
  • Productively interact with business units and involve others when working on, or leading, internal projects and challenges.
