• Still continuing my 22 years of service with the Oregon Army National Guard, gaining knowledge for high-level management and higher.
• I also been deployed to Iraq in 2007-08 and 2009-10, then to Afghanistan in 2014-15. I’ve worked in a range of positions while being in the guard, from Private (labor) to Platoon Sergeant (mid-level management), I was recently commissioned to 1st Lieutenant (executive position).

• I am also in charge 3 soldiers to 50 soldiers. I’ve also participated in training plans and scheduling classes. I help mentor soldiers in and out of uniform, making sure they are heading in the right direction or have the tools to accomplish what they are in search of.

• To make sure the environment at work felt safe and relaxing and defuse a situation that could have gone wrong. I also made sure our supplies were well stocked or replaced if ran out of a certain item.

• I sell new memberships or renew old memberships and sell products to new and recent customers. I also step in to teach group fitness classes like Crossfit or train customers who ask.

• Social Work for Veterans, Reservists, Nation Guard, and their spouses. I help them with using VA benefits for school, building resumes, and mock interviews, also find them jobs that are suited to the job skills that they learned in the military, and help them overcome the financial situations they come across. We manage a suicide hotline phone 24/7 for veterans; I also attended community meetings to help them have a better understanding of a veteran and what a veteran brings to the job and the community.
