Monitors and controls plant operations.

· Constantly reviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

· Participates in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

· Maintains adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc. on a daily, weekly, and/ monthly basis, as required

· Collaborate with contractors and vendors for all activities.

· Responsible for equipment lock/tagout for maintenance and repairs

· Recognizes equipment abnormalities. Communicates with maintenance regarding significant repairs.

· Communicates directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas

· Performs preventive maintenance activities as required.

· Assists maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.

· Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting process related issues.

· Able to understand problems and develop effective solutions

· Responsible for ensuring proper flows, temperatures, pressures, and levels. Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.

· Ability to operate plant processes using a DCS control system, preferably Delta V

· Responsible for recording of parameter values, completion of operating reports, notification of environmental deviations, and equipment lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
