I am to process information and evaluate it. Which is a very useful skill. As a history major I can take all sorts of sources and try and peace together a meaningful narrative from all the important factors in these sources, as well as evaluating each one and seeing if it is a good source and so on. A very complex process and a skill that can be used in pretty much anything. To work and grow in a professional environment where my knowledge, experience, and creativity can be put to best use. I graduated at the University of Alabama with the desire of becoming an educator in history most particular in African, African American history, and finally Native American history. I want to focus on history that niche in the mainstream academia and bring more attention to unrepresentative cultures. As I focus on this study of history, I desire to focus my lens of marginalized communities, that have been left behind such as the African American and native American communities. I seek to educate people on a rich heritage of marginalized communities and their important contribution on a national scale. I seek a broad understanding of the world and to perfect my vision of understanding history on an influential interconnectedness. I want to teach the importance of diversity, inclusion, and acceptance to a younger generation. My preferred studies are learning in the field of museum studies or teaching education in ancient history topics. I am hoping to find an entry level or introduction to an education job to gain first hands on experience.
