I’m an experience leader in the tree industry without any workplace incidents or power outages on my record. Though I don’t have a whole lot of time in the fiber optic installation industry I was a quick learner and was trusted with a lot of responsibility almost immediately and done well what time I spent in that field. I worked just as hard or harder than the lowest paid employee on every crew that I lead. I showed hands on how to do the job safely as many times as it took for my men to learn the correct and safest technique of the task at hand. I also lead in production for several years under the general foreman I worked under at asplundh tree expert co.
-In between the jobs for companies I’ve listed about I don’t residential tree work for myself with help from friends and ex coworkers I met in the field. Always practicing safety first and production second.
-was a quicker learner and made lead lineman with within two months of overhead fiber optic installation.
-during my short time at Hurley electrical as a lead lineman I learned how to install fiber optic cable using the lashing system and also the ADSS self support cable.
-Used bucket trucks and Manuel climbing techniques to install the cable.
-Used safe work practices to minimize the chance of a work place incident.
-Helped train new employees on all aspects of safety and installing fiber.
-Climbed the ranks fast as a trimmer and made Foreman after two years of being a top climber/trimmer clearing vegetation from around electrical conductors and poles both on the ground and overhead.
-Trained a long list of climber/trimmers and further foreman many of which still thrive in the field today.
-Practiced a safety first work mentality and done my best to make sure everyone goes home to their families. I also trained all of my guys to have this same mindset.
-I learned a lot of rope rigging techniques and knots that has served me in the fiber optic field as well.
-Used ropes with rope pullers to technically pull large trees in high pressure situations without every having a work place incident or a power outage.
-Used advanced rope and pulling techniques to rig and pull tree parts away from electrical conductors during Manuel climbing operations. I also trained a lot of climbers/trimmers in these high pressure dangerous situations.
-Regular inspections of climbing gear, ropes, and all equipment used to ensure the efficiency of the job at hand and for safety purposes as well.
