I work for a professor as an aid. I sometimes help with translation such as excerpts from Arabic commentaries that he would need. I would also hang up posters and do a myriad of other tasks he would not have time for.

I became proficient in Arabic and increased my knowledge of French. Since I was doing bible studies which were not legal in Morocco, I learned specific ways of identifying if people were sincere in wanting to get to know me or not. I also learned how relationally and culturally connect with people of different backrounds which I learned went much deeper than simple linguistic acquisition. I learned to be a competent communicator and most importantly, to keep a cool head under pressure.

I also taught English in the evenings for a year at a school for flight attendants and a high school.
