I am a hard-working, driven person who would love to work at Surrey this fall. Through much experience in coaching and my go-getter attitude, I think I would be a great fit. What I may lack in experience, I will make up for in my hard-working ability to be the best educator I can be.
For the past two summers, I have had the chance to work for Bluestone. This is a construction job that requires long days and hard work. I have developed a great work ethic from my time with them in the summers. This work ethic has allowed me to carry it into every aspect of my life, including student teaching, as I am doing now.
At the beginning of this year, I started my student teaching. Through my student teaching experience, it has been a wonderful learning experience. Beyond this, I have built many great relationships with students and staff. Many of the lessons that I have learned at South Prairie I will take with me to help me become a further educator.
These past two years, I have had the honor of working as both an assistant coach and a head coach for the Minot North Basketball team. Both roles were different, but I loved the challenge. It is the challenge of those roles and the starting up of a new program in Minot. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with players and helping them on and off the court. I hope to continue this in the future as well.
I have coached football at the middle school level for the last four years. From my first year of coaching, I knew I wanted to be an educator. I found that through coaching, I could help kids, and this then became my passion.
I also had the chance to work with younger individuals during my coaching time with Minot Public. Each age group presents a unique challenge. I have found that it is important to hold all age groups to high standards so that they can achieve the most they can.
