Deshaun Oliver Jr.

I am a communications professional with a Master’s in Communication Management and dual Bachelor’s degrees in History and Communication from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I’m also a proud graduate of the prestigious Ramsay High School and a recipient of UAB’s Certificate in Leadership honors that reflect my long-standing commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Throughout my career, I’ve combined strategic thinking with hands-on experience to support impactful communication initiatives. As a 3-year starter for UAB’s NCAA Division I football program, I developed the discipline, clarity, and team leadership required to thrive under pressure. I later brought those strengths to my work at Rebirth Marketing, where I contributed to digital campaigns, coordinated client messaging strategies, and helped elevate local brands through creative, audience-focused content.

My experience also includes roles in performance analytics and communication strategy within athletics, where I crafted visual reports, interpreted complex data, and ensured messaging alignment across departments. Whether working in fast-paced team environments or behind the scenes to shape communication strategy, I bring a solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for public impact.

I am eager to apply my background in government communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement to roles where strategic messaging, public service, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
