  • Supporting the FLETC Publications Warehouse Program Support Contract, overseeing their efforts to maintain inventory levels sufficient to support Center training programs three months in advance of the start date of multiple Center Basic and Advanced courses.
  • Procuring over the counter (OTC) and off-the-shelf (OTS) publications that have to be purchased through outside or sole source publishers.
  • Review and certify invoices to ensure contracting partners meet the commitments of the contracts.
  • I am the primary FLETC Government Purchase Card holder for the PUB Branch, with special approval/authorization to utilize the Government Purchase Card for government printing.
  • Responsible for the monthly billing and verification of GPO's Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC Billing).
  • Cross-checking printing requests with funding allocations from FLETC and billed amounts from GPO.
  • Provide training and guidance, reviewing, and coordinating work within the Publishing Branch to include the work of the Printing Services Assistants and newly hired Printing Services Specialists for thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Use expertise to award and fulfill GPO and SPA agreements, award contracts.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for print services consultation between FLETC and its varied clients, FLETC staff, partner organizations, the United States Government Publishing Office (GPO), suppliers, and vendors.
  • Review and certify invoices for multiple contracts and GPO billing.
  • Track yearly impressions and expenditures through our in-house print and GPO logs.
  • I am responsible for working on estimating the copier impression counts for the printing equipment, which helps establish print charges for the Print Center.
  • Planning and directing all aspects of the various printing services procured via the GPO and its contract vehicles (one-time bid, single, multiple-award contracts, etc.). and sources.
  • Staying abreast of trending technologies, GPO initiatives associated with printing procurement, and state-of-the-art industry technology and practices.
  • Drafting and writing detailed printing and binding specifications, identifying, initiating, and generating detailed specifications for term contracts for recurring print requirements for training programs.
  • Reviewing bids and determining acceptable bidders for printing services contracts.
  • Scheduling and monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with established schedules and specifications.
