As an actor at a haunted house it takes a lot of emotional maturity and physical endurance to handle a hands-on, always physical experience. Scaring people may sound fun but I've delt with mental and physical exhaustion as well as physical harm by equipment, scenery and customers. It's a responsibility that im proud of myself for handling and stuff happens which is in need to accept, thats okay. The most important part of the job is communication. It's important and it makes the job so much easier. Communication is a big thing for me and its important for all jobs. Not just the one im currently working for, it's a part of a successful life.
Educational achievements I've been granted and worked toward is a 3.6 GPA and awards I've won for my hard work in highschool. As of right now im currently a part of the National Society of Highschool Scholars (NSHSS) and im trying to work my way into Northeastern IL University for Social Work. I have had a high GPA since elementary school. I grew up high honor roll and wish to continue for a successful future. My freshman year of highschool I was lost and did absolutely nothing besides get good grades. From my sophomore year-current (senior year), I have gotten involved in just about everything I can from staying after school, showing school spirit, participation, meeting award requirements and getting whats important done to maintain a high GPA.
I am a scare actor at The 13th Floor Haunted House. I work with many other friendly people, all are very easy to get along with. Everyday I am given a new character and scene which I am required to act either solo or with scene partners. We have early call time which require getting into costume and makeup before we get into our assigned scenes for the night. I am usually out from 3pm-11pm from Friday-Sunday. The 13th Floor is a healthy and fun environment to be in.
